So it turns out that a little gig is also going on at the MCG on the same Saturday as the
Section 8 Block party... It's a Bush-Fire Benefit. Good Cause. Might go.
The line-up for the Melbourne (there's one at the same time in Sydney) concert includes Augie March, Bliss N Eso with Paris Wells, Gabriella Cilmi, Hunters and Collectors, Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson with Troy Cassar-Daly, Jack Johnson, Jet, Kings of Leon, Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly, Split Enz and Wolfmother.
Most of that is shite with the obvious stand-out exceptions of
The Kings Of Leon, Midnight Oil and Split Enz.


Why the $2 Scratchies arn't on the bill is beyond me.

The tricky bit is getting from Section 8 to the MCG just in time to see the good stuff.
