A look at the life and past of indigenous Australian performer Jack Charles, who for 40 years juggled acting with a life of crime. This former and occasionally still working actor has been a heroin addict for over thirty years. Homeless, Jack sleeps where he can on the streets of Melbourne.
Jack finances his heroin by stealing from suburbs like Kew and as a result is in and out of prison. His habit goes back a long way, to when he was a rising star in theatre, on television and in film.
