Crazy dutch bastards...

Angelique Houtkamp is a Dutch tattoo artist, painter and shoe designer who brings to galleries her own take on the graphic romance of old school tattoos, the heyday of the wild west and the mystery of Spain.

Sultry pin-ups, broken hearts, swallows, sailing ships, black panthers, mermaids, spunky cowgirls, horseshoes, cacti and a good-hearted sense of nostalgia all feature in the world of Angelique.



Angelique's work is also used in magazines, on cd covers, postcards, buttons and clothing, as well as being featuring in magazines like Juxtapoz.

Angelique is in Melbourne for her book launch and exhibition this Friday the 28th Sept. from 7pm at Outre on Elizabeth St.

The Houtster is also doing a signing at Outre on Saturday from 12-2pm.
